Our Founder
“We view autism as an alternate ability characterized by unique skills and ways of looking at life.”
Holly Burdick, Founder Autism Solutions Group
Holly Burdick M.S
Throughout her career, Holly was often seen as the Pied Piper of students whose needs were not being met through traditional channels. Students gravitated to her, even if undiagnosed, or supposedly “normal.” Holly’s passion and commitment for people to live satisfying lives while making their contribution remains her primary goal in coaching young adults on the Autism Spectrum. In her last year of teaching, she mused with concern, “What will happen to my babies after they graduate?” From this heart-centered concern grew this Autism Solutions Group.
Holly Burdick holds a Master’s in Special Education from Southern Connecticut University, and also in School Administration from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. She graduated magna cum laude from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology, as a pre-med student. She attended Wesleyan University’s Masters program in Clinical Psychology, child development and family systems.
She is a 28-year career educator of students with special needs at the middle and high school levels. She spent the last 5 years of her career as a high school Autism Inclusion team leader where she worked closely with her students, their teachers and parents to help them develop appropriate social skills for success in a public high school transitioning into adulthood. Her commitment to her students was to continuously facilitate academic excellence, as well as personal growth.
Autism Solutions Group was born out of Holly's desire to help young adults on the Spectrum lead positive, fulfilling lives. Holly has made it her life's journey to continue to study areas that can positively impact her clients and her personally. As a result, she has dedicated 20 plus years to becoming the go-to resource for helping adult individuals on the Spectrum.
