Our Coach

Allison Butwinski

We are delighted to welcome Allison Butwinski to Autism Solutions Group in Greensboro. Allison is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum from ages 18 months to adulthood. Allison comes with a background in education, starting her career at The Central North Carolina School for the Deaf, teaching elementary aged students on the autism spectrum with hearing impairments. She found herself intrigued and fascinated by the complexities and nuances of these students, leading her to become a public middle school Inclusion Coordinator for students on the spectrum. She supported teachers and paraprofessionals to work with students with high functioning autism in the general education setting.

Following this, she worked as an Autism Specialist at the UNC TEACCH Autism Program. In this position, her experience included administering diagnostic testing to individuals of all ages, including some as young as 18 months old, and up to age 65. This is no small feat, and this background has enabled her to see the signs and potential remediations for folks on the spectrum. In addition, she designed and delivered structured teaching strategies based on the learning style of each individual. These tailored programs occurred in groups and one-on-one at the center, as well as in in-home settings. Allison was later certified as an Advanced Consultant with UNC TEACCH. She has trained thousands of educators nationally and internationally, including preschool teachers, private and public-school teachers, and paraprofessionals as well as residential staff and parents.

Allison brings her encyclopedic knowledge of autism, child development, speech and language development, teaching methodologies and parenting techniques to bear in her coaching at Autism Solutions Group. With a passion for fostering

personal growth, Allison is committed to advocating for and empowering autistic individuals to reach their full potential.
